m5-7.5 SDA tenancy management: adjusting to changed needs, modification or relocation
Clause and reference m5-7.5, our reference for this requirement in the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators
The requirement
When a participant's needs or circumstances change, reasonable adjustments are made. If needs exceed the dwelling's design category or functionality, modification is pursued after weighing the impact on other tenants; where needs cannot be met, the participant and relevant providers are told alternative accommodation is needed.

- Records of reviews of changed participant needs against the dwelling's design category
- Modification proposals with assessment of impact on co-tenants and approval records
- Written advice to the participant and support providers where the dwelling can no longer meet needs
What assessors commonly find
- Participant's changed needs known but no dwelling review done
