Conditions of registration (Rules Part 4, Act ss 73F to 73J)

s13BA Change of ownership audit within 3 months (from 1 July 2026)

Clause and reference Rules s 13BA of the NDIS (Provider Registration and Practice Standards) Rules 2018 · our reference s13BA

The requirement

Where a certification-assessed provider goes through a major change to its organisation or governance because ownership changes for the provider, or for a business it runs, and in the next three months it has no mid-term audit underway and its registration does not end, it goes through a certification audit that starts within 3 months of the change (or later if the Commissioner allows), against the Part 3 Core module standards and any standard that had a corrective action plan; the auditor reports to the Commissioner within 28 days of finishing it. This applies to changes of ownership from 1 July 2026.
